Craig Jones vive em Los Angeles e sabe muito bem o que encrenca quer dizer. Principalmente depois que teve problemas com Debo. Mas Debo fugiu da prisão e quer acertar contas com ele. Para evitar mais problemas, o pai de Craig decide mandá-lo para a casa do tio Elroy, e do primo Day-Day, que se mudaram recentemente para o subúrbio depois de ganhar na loteria. Mas parece que nem lá ele vai conseguir ficar longe da confusão.
<em>'Next Friday'</em> disappoints, which isn't a surprise given the absence of Chris Tucker. The first film worked because of the two lead actors, so taking out one (esp. Tucker) was always going to make a sequel fall flat; especially without finding an adequate replacement.
Ice Cube is OK and is the best part, if only via a process of elimination. Mike Epps didn't do it for me, his character is annoying. Of the newbies, Kym Whitley is the only one that comes close to working. Lisa Rodríguez's Karla is woefully written, as are the entire "Jokers" to be honest.
